Meet CJ Kamm

Judge CJ Kamm has served on the Erie County Municipal Court since 2020, when he became the first new judge to preside over that court in a quarter century. He presides in Milan and hears cases from the areas of Erie County outside the county's three municipal courts. Before taking the bench, he served as Mayor of Berlin Heights.

Kamm won the Republican nomination for the Sixth District Court of Appeals in May 2026 and faces the incumbent in November. The Sixth District, based in Toledo, hears appeals from Erie, Fulton, Huron, Lucas, Ottawa, Sandusky, Williams, and Wood counties.
